Beams...

....of light...of love...of comfort...sustaining even on the darkest of days. My heart beats the usual 60-100 beats/min, perhaps running a little faster on the days I attempt work I'm not used to....my mind races along on its path, tripping occasionally on this or that until I step off and take precious moments to sit, to pray, to seek a higher power...to seek time with a majestic love that covers, calms, comforts and holds close...my spirit seeks closure, seeks healing, seeks kindness and compassion so I may give it out, so I may understand hearts other than mine.

Sunbeams that cut through the dust motes, the clouds of doubt....beams of light that shine in the darkest of days, that illuminate the deepest of secret worries, fears and hurts....

Dear treasures, as well allow the light to shine, to trickle in, the cares of this world fade into the shadows...as we turn our face to the sun we leave behind that which darkens our minds, our spirits, our hearts...we turn from shame, from sorrow, from injustices....

Dear hearts...we are given daily the choice to drop that which loads us down...to walk away and leave behind the monsters, the cruel, the unjust, the evil doers...oh yes, we encounter them on this walk we call life, we stand tall...we walk proud...we speak softly our truth, and continue to walk, to run this race on our terms....we will decide who to allow in and who to guard our hearts from...

I work everyday with this personality...this manipulative, narcissistic individual and I learn every moment of each day how to stand, when to stand and when to walk away....

I will not lie my friends....it sucks, truly...but oh I have lessons to learn and until the last day of work I will continue to fight against the factious spirit, the scheming mind and hand out kindnesses where I can, pray for that which I cannot understand and guard my heart continually.

I will choose life...I will choose love...I will choose joy and peace....

Go today dear treasures and live life to the fullest...love with all you have and choose life, choose to strengthen your boundaries, and allow only that which builds you up, not what tears you down.
