Blessings...

The sound of silence....walking amidst the beauty of creation yesterday and listening to the chatter of coworkers walking ahead and behind me I marvelled at the wonders of creation evident all around us. The bright green of mosses covering the forest floor, the varying shades of brown showcased in the bark of new and ancient trees, the vibrant blues of the sky peeking through and spearing past the canopy of branches and tree tops to hit and enlighten the colours we viewed. At some point all talk ceased and I took a moment to survey all that surrounded me and the sound of reverent silence....filtering in, the trill of waxwings and the far off roar of the falls we were making our way to....and rounding the corner to catch sight and stand in awe at the absolute power and might of the falls as they tumbled over the high rocks to hit the pool below.

Blessings abound...all around us. In the kind words of a team mate just met...in the conversation with a friends teenage daughter...remembering that we matter, all of us. We are important, vital...needed and loved. The smart ass sarcasm of the team, the feeling of belonging...the love of the game and the sound and satisfaction of the ball hitting the sweet spot of the bat and sending it....sitting and taking in the sweet smell of summer air in the evening as the sun makes it way across the sky...blessings that fill the heart, heal the soul, mend the spirit...

And I am thankful...grateful....no matter the war that wages, the battles that converge, the struggles life can bring....God is good, His goodness all around us if we take a moment to truly look, to really see....

Go with God today dear hearts and know...you are seen, heard and felt....not alone, never alone. There is one who knows you, knows every little thing about you and LOVES you absolutely, without reservation or condemnation...pure love.

True love casts out all fear...

Live in that promise and walk out your truth...walk it out in grace, walk it out with a courage that comes from above and within.
