Necessary

Yesterday morning was a wrestle mania knock down fight...to get up, to greet the day...to make the coffee and sit in quietness, in soft lamp light. God and I had much to discuss...rest was on the list...I spoke of heart and soul...of spirit and body...He spoke of rest, of grace, of love unceasing, of vast vaults of compassion and mercy...

....as I drove into the wildfire compound and switched to my work truck, I sat shivering watching the chill morning rain fall...

....as I drove to grab hot timmies tea...

...as I radioed in my morning itinerary and next radio check...

...as I hit Sinkut Lake road and Bobtail Forest Service road...

I cried and asked for an extra measure of grace....I have felt the sinking of joy, the passing of peace...felt a lowering of defences...

I beseeched God for more...for love to give to others, for kindnesses extended...I have been so blessed beyond measure and I was begging for more. He knows our hearts my friends...He understands us better than anyone else.

I know this because when I entered the staging area and parked amongst the many vehicles and people already arrived, I had barely stepped out of my vehicle when I was hailed from across a large open area....I put my drink down on the hood in time to be gathered up in a giant bear hug and held close for a moment.

Dear treasures...He knew exactly what I needed...once again love freely given, accepted and embraced with a thankful heart saves...uplifts...

Love saved me today...kindness and simple affection buoyed me up from the depths...

Love saves us...

It is good to remember, to recognize that dark moments will happen, will trickle in when tired and vulnerable...

I drove out of rain in the valley, into sunshine burning the mists off the fields and forests...I drove out of despair and sadness, into the bright light of love and joy and peace burning the tangle of emotions from my mind.

God loves with an all encompassing love dear hearts...we are safe, free from fear and walking a path of healing...He makes a way, lights the way...orders the steps of your feet...protects and guards...

No matter the feelings of the moment my friends, one foot in front of the other...declaring peace, declaring happiness and joy...we are free and oh the joy that erupts at the thought.

Free of torment...free of abuse...free of betrayal and lies...

We walk in truth and live and breathe the peace that brings...
