Power...

True power is the ability to extend kindness, to hold firm to ones temper and stronger emotions...true power is keeping your word, putting action to words spoken and promises given...true power comes from knowledge and the wisdom needed to carry it with grace.

Cowardice...well cowardice is the opposite of all these things...cowardice is believing you stand above, when truly you stand below...cowardice is raising a hand to those you professed to love and protect...cowardice is putting others down in order to feel superior, better, more....

I have lived with the epitome of cowardice, lived in his presence day in and day out...witness to every cowardly deed, every action revealing more of the base nature of his existence...

I have been laid low...

I have been pushed to the ground and dust...

I have seen and agonized over the lack of humanity within the beast...

I have seen the smirks, the contempt, the disgust for anyone deemed beneath him...

I have seen the depravity, the raging child demanding his way...

I have seen the perverse pleasure seeking in order to feel a man when in fact he lives far from what a man was born to be.

Dear treasures...lost ones...the heart quakes, the mind trembles, the body recoils...these are all signs of an absence of love, an absence of purity, a year-by-year repression of all that is good in favour of self...in favour of lies and deceit...in favour of abuses too many to count...

These things will not change...more, it is not your responsibility to change them, only yourself...serial abusers/narcissists have one goal in mind and that is to drain everyone they come in contact with to further their own needs, wants, desires.

My prayer for you today is grace to see, courage to bear up under truth and strength to go...

You are worthy of so much more than this...truly.

Loved....needed...necessary.
