True Friendship...

As I sit and ponder, wondering what exactly needs to be set down upon the page, I reflect on friendship and those who defy such niceties.

I reflect on long time friendships, born during tumult and chaos...the absolute comfort found in friendship spanning decades.

Known, seen, loved and accepted...

I sit with a heart full of wonder, with a spirit of thankfulness and gratitude, full to the brim with hope, with joy despite sorrow, with grace no matter the moment.

Such moments are a gift; treasure them, hold them close and reflect upon them during times of grief, of stress, of all life tosses into our path.

If you're reading this my friend, know this. You brightened a day not only with grace, with love, with wisdoms shared...so much more was deposited within heart and spirit.

The reminder of all that has come before, a casting back into youthful, carefree days...

A nudge to recollect miracles, Gods grace in horrific situations as well as the everyday mundane, the grinding gears of relationship and motherhood culminating in eyes cast to the heavens.

The enemy would have us believe we are done...used up...cast aside...not enough...

The truth is dear friends, we are NEVER too old, never too far gone for the grace of God and His plans to prosper.

That impossible situation? Possible...

That unimaginable issue? Possible...

Perhaps its age, perhaps it is experiences spanning near six decades. Whatever the reasoning, it is apparent that as we grow and mature what was once important falls to the wayside. Time is no longer set aside for those things that detract from, for those things that muddy the waters.

Love, friendships, grace, truth with kindness, compassion, joys, sorrows; all point us in the direction of freedom, all pull from the heart and build foundations of strength and courage.

My prayer for you today is more...that God would bring more joy, more grace, more compassion and self-forgiveness.

Go today in the knowledge of being loved wherever you're at...exactly where you stand.

No need for trophies, for medals of valour and works, no.

Just you...

May God bless you with understanding, with a deep-seated perception of your worth.
