Uprightly...

"We give thanks to you, O God,
we give thanks, for your Name is near;
men tell of your wonderful deeds.
You say, 'I choose the appointed time;
it is I who judge uprightly...
To the arrogant I say, 'Boast no more,'
and to the wicked, 'Do not lift up your horns.
Do not lift your horns against heaven;
do not speak with outstretched neck.'
No one from the east or the west
or from the desert can exalt a man.
But it is God who judges;
He brings one down, he exalts another."
We live in information overload these days...we live and walk amongst many different lands within an information highway designed to addict, to cajole, to promote and produce misinformation, hype and panic...
Shock and dismay and sheer outrage over transgender althete competing against a woman...but wait, false information...and the internet was off to the races hyping this horrific thing pretending to be a female...in point of fact the woman was a woman, born a female but blessed with an over abundance of testosterone...
I can only imagine bearing up under the brutal onslaught of the ensuing cruelty and ignorance...
I cannot begin to understand what she must be feeling at this moment.
Why is it that we can say and do things in cyberspace, that in a face-to-face situation would be classed as bullying, bigotry and narrow mindedness?
Memes plastered across every social media app, belittling and be-spoking cruelty and unjust practices within sports...
I do not mean to stand upon a soapbox, as a forever friend recently coined, for I get the need to understand something we wouldn't have heard of during our growing up years (Gen x age). Some confusion and working to keep an open mind of love and acceptance for whatever choices you make in this beautiful thing we call life.
I only hope to understand, but instead find myself struggling with the absolute evil that social media can promote...and creates an anonymity crucial to armchair quarter backing, sitting in righteous judgement even as I sin daily and fail at living a hundred percent-all in life. Casting about, looking for someone to look down upon to feel better about my own lack.
Women...once again attacked, bullied, casually tossed about without care for ruining anyones life.
Women...we NEED, desperately, to stand for one another...we live in an age of free for all, me-first, an instant and insane world where men are being slapped on the wrist for horrific abuses and set back out into the world at large to continue their own personal psychotically evil cycle of narcissism.
Let us lift one another up, dig in for facts not fiction...let us avoid the band-wagons unless they are ones pulled by other women for a cause bigger than ourselves.
May God bless your days and your nights with truth, with grace, with compassion for others.
May He hold you upright, speaking words of encouragement as you fight for every inch of ground, pulling yourself from that dirty rotten pit. That personal monster in your life piles it on, shovels it onto your head, day in and day out. My friends, you are WORTH more than that. You ARE. Truly.
Courage dear treasures...this too shall absolutely pass...one day into the next, re-learning how to walk, talk, interact and just breathe the fresh rain-scented air of freedom from abuse.
Get out! Take yourself and fly free from the cage that binds you so completely. It is all a lie...those bars are built with deception and sneaky criticisms...constructs of falsehoods...
You are capable and able to do that which you need, always.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20
Let us lift our faces to the one who loves us immeasurably more than we could ever imagine and without fail.
Walk your path dear heart, you got this.
