"And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not." Malachai 3:18
I'm not speaking on 'end times' or Revelations when I speak on the state of our world at the moment...when trafficking in humans, in CHILDREN has become a money maker of some import. When the money is followed and catalogued and found to be in excess of Drugs, Guns or other seedy, lowlife type endeavour.
Trafficking in Persons they politely coin the horrific actions of those steeped in evil, in depravity...as of 2020 we stood at $150 BILLION annually...
'The International Labor Organization (ILO) estimates that there are currently 25 million victims of human trafficking around the world.' Forbes
This does not begin to touch on abuse, on torture, on the scale of epic proportions this world has fallen to...when...when do we the people say enough? When do we the people stand for those who cannot stand for themselves, taking justice to the doortstep of those who perpetuate these heinous crimes?
It is not dramatic nor over the top to say that corporations, our own government and that of the US protect these individuals and organizations that continue their evil work. Nato...the UN...all bodies of government created to protect should be standing together, hand in hand fighting the crime of human exploitation.
Peacekeeping in countries where the interests lay in their oil or resources that mean our own comfort, our own monetary gain instead of focusing on what is true, what is right, what is good.
I sit this morning with my hot cup of heaven and my heart searches for meaning, for purpose beyond myself...for an avenue to step into to be of some service...
There are bigger problems and until they hit our own personal doorstep, they remain out of sight and out of mind.
“Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject.” John Stuart MIll
This all cycles back to our broken down court system and the corporations that continue to subjugate, to neglect, to abandon and to harass within our own country.
This all cycles back to the epidemic within our own beautiful country...sitting idly by while men (and some women) walk the streets free while they abuse, maim, torture, torment and stalk. ONE in TEN men abuse behind closed doors...think on ten men you know personally...yes, horrible to think on isn't it? As the numbers go up, the horror climbs alongside...
Let us all take steps in our own slice of life, in our own little corner of the world to be aware, to take action when abuse is seen and witnessed. To walk away is to abandon the defenseless, the innocent, the tormented souls who stride among us with kindness, with a smile for the lost, with a compassionate word for the downtrodden. They know what it is to feel alone, abandoned, lost in a world full of anger and strife...
I know not how many will read this post, nor fully take it in...I write in the hopes that educating will bring awareness and change.
Go with God today and ask yourself this question...'What can I do?' And oh, He will reply...
God is faithful in all things.
